Hello everyone, today I am back with my last post before Christmas.
I thought it might be a good time to share a couple of thank you cards that I have made today, as it is always good to have these on hand over the festive period. And instead of going for a winter theme, I have decided to make mine Spring or Summer themed! I always feel the need for a bit of brightness at this time of year.
So here is my card. Please excuse the dark photo, it is grey here today and really hard to get a good light on it.
I had planned to make three, but one got messed up along the way so I have two the same, which I figure is better than one!
These were really simple to make. I die-cut some stitched rectangle panels and stamped the main sentiment using Versafine Onyx Black ink. I did this using the MISTI stamping tool so that I could double stamp it and get a really good impression. I then stamped the remaining small sentiments in Versamark ink, and heat embossed them with some Cardinal Red WOW embossing powder. I had thought this was going to be a little bit “pinker” than it was but I think I have just about got away with it 🙂
I then broke out my unused Paper Smooches Botanicals 3 stamp set and stamped my flowers in a variety of dye inks. I added small, medium and large leaves and then some little dots to fill in the gaps.
Finally I added some sparkle to the leaves and flowers using my Spectrum Noir Clear Sparkle brush pen, and finished with some clear sparkling sequins from Pretty Pink Posh. I popped some craft foam onto the back of the panels and then mounted them both onto A2 sized base cards. The finished cards have a side fold.
That completes my cards for today. They were really easy to do, and could easily be replicated in bulk if you wanted to make a set as a gift for someone, or even just a set to have on hand for yourself.
Thank you so much for keeping me company this year – I am so happy that you stop by to read my ramblings and see my creations. I started my blog back in February, and I have really enjoyed my first year of blogging. Thank you so much for all the lovely, kind and thoughtful comments along the way, I love to read them.
I wish you all a very Merry Christmas and I will be back soon to share more projects.

I look forward to seeing more of your pretty and inspiring creations in the new year and I wish you all the crafty best!! Happy Holiday Hugs, Darnell

Love that huge sentiment! And hurrah for using your NBUS. The two sets work really well together as the little flowers even in the bright colours don’t take away from the boldness of the main word. Really beautifully laid out and one I think I might have to try myself.
Thank you for starting your blog this year. I’ve really enjoyed reading all your posts and seeing all your creations. I look forward to seeing what else you have in store in 2017 – hopefully more videos too – I love your colouring ones 🙂 xx
