Happy Friday everyone!
I am popping in with a quick post this afternoon to share a card I made today. For the past week or so I have been taking a class with Online Card Classes called “Sparkle and Shine” which has been fabulous. Today is the last day and it is all about sequins. What more do we need to give a card some sparkle and shine? And not a stamp in sight!
Here is my card. It is very similar to a card that Jennifer McGuire showed us in class.
I took my circle dies and die cut 2 black frames and adhered them together. Then I took a “friend” die and again cut two and adhered them together. I set them aside to dry whilst I worked on the sequin panel. I traced a circle on my base card and spent 30 minutes sticking sequins onto the base – a little fiddly as I am all thumbs but oh so pretty at the end :). I then just added an aperture panel over the top using double sided foam tape.
Lastly, I adhered the hello to the black circular frame and adhered the whole thing on top of the sequins using wet adhesive.
Such a pretty card and a lovely way to use some of the sequins that we all have sitting in our stash!
Thank you so much for visiting. As always, please feel free to leave a comment as I always love to hear from you. Have a wonderful weekend and I will be back next week with another card.

Oh goodness! So sorry it has twine me ages to give this some love. It’s gorgeous. So much sparkle and shine. I am seriously impressed you stuck them all on individually. The result is fabulous. I’m just not sure I have the patience for it at all. They are all perfectly placed too – you’ve spaced out the colours well. Xx

Love your card!!! I didn’t get a chance to try this technique from the class but your card really turned out awesome. I’m going to have to give it a try for my next project.

Well my goodness! Was looking to see posts in the wrap up gallery and saw ONE! Your beautiful card!! I have one in the works, but didn’t have time to finish and post before it closes (wish they’d give us a bit more time). Anyway, love this card you’ve made! So very pretty!! Hugs! Beautiful looking card Lisa, I have done a few like this before sticking all the sequins in place and it really is eye catching. Looks like there washouts of sparkle and shine in this online class.
Thanks for getting back to me too on comments. Its a shame you were getting so much spam that you had to block comments after 30 days.
I will have to try and keep up to date on commenting as I do like to let someone know when I enjoy their art and your blog is one I love to visit and always see so much that I love. I mostly see your cards too on Instagram but I do miss some and sometimes its nice to read the story with the card.
I had a great birthday and am all better now, thank goodness, I was able to go visit mum and dad after 4 weeks of not being able to go near them. So its been a nice week. Take care petal hugs aileen
