Hello friends
I hope you are all well. I am back today with another birthday card for a crafty friend. I made this a few days after coming back from holiday three weeks ago and as you know at the time, I was struggling to find any kind of enthusiasm or ideas. It had been 5 weeks since I made a card and when I take a break I can find it hard to start again!
But, I managed to make something, so that was good! Now that my friend has received her card, I can share it.
I used an old Clearly Besotted stamp set for this card. I heat embossed the image with white powder and coloured it softly with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens. These are very vibrant pens, but it is definitely possible to make them soft, just add tiny amounts of pigment and a lot of water and you are good to go!
After colouring the flower, I cut the panel with a stitched rectangle die. Next, I used the coordinating die to cut a mask and I also used some painters tape to mask a thin frame around the edges of the panel. I then took the stencil and lightly applied Wilted Violet Distress ink over the image until I was happy. I don’t often mask a frame and I really like how it turned out, it looks much neater than just applying the ink to the edges of the panel.
I added some craft foam to the back of the panel, and adhered it to an A2 base card with a purple mat. Lastly I stamped the sentiment, added a few sequins and some splashes of Wink of Stella here and there to finish it off. I do like the combination of purple and yellow.
I will be back with another project soon and I wish you all a very happy and crafty week. Thank you as always for leaving me a comment, I always love to hear from my bloggy friends.

Lisa, you astound me with this card. It’s just perfect in every way from the layout to the colours used (purple and yellow are my go to for this set as well!). You can’t tell at all that you’d lost your mojo because this, my friend is a stunner. I’m not surprised that Darnell has pinned it. The partial stencilling of the background is superb. A beauty and I’m sure your friend loved it. xx

Oh, my, so many of us with our Mojo Juices running at 110% struggle to make cards half as beautiful as this, Lisa! No, seriously! This is my idea of an absolutely perfectly designed card, top to bottom! Pinning!! Hugs, Darnell
