Hello friends
It’s Friday again, where do the weeks go? Well I am back with another Christmas card – be glad when Christmas is over haha! I feel like I have been making these cards for months, probably because I have.
So here is my card for today.
I made the background by blending three Distress Inks over some Tim Holtz Watercolor Paper and then adding white splatters of white gouache paint over the top. I also added some clear water splatters and lifted some of the ink. Whilst this was drying I stamped the images using Memento Tuxedo Black onto some Neenah Solar White card and quickly Copic coloured them. The stamp set is called Trimming The Tree and it is from Clearly Besotted – LOVE!
I then fussy cut the images. Sigh. And then when everything was dry I assembled the card using double sided foam tape to pop up the images and adhering the whole panel to an A2 base with adhesive tape.
I added some sparkle to the presents, lights, baubles and star. Although why I added sparkle to the presents I will never know as they will get lovely and wet in that snow!
Happy Friday to you all, I hope you have a lovely weekend and I will be back soon with another card.
Thank you so much for stopping by, I appreciate you all so very much.

Oh this is adorable! I do love what you’ve been doing with this set. It has so much scope. They look very happy despite the snow to be trimming that tree. Your colouring is really lovely and I love the texture you’ve given it with the Copic feathered strokes. The background is lovely – and don’t you just love gouache for splatters – and isn’t it such a lovely word – Goooooooooouache…… thank you for sharing! Loving the inspiration as I have loads of cards to make! xx
