Hello! Welcome to Day 2 of The Daily Marker 30 Day Coloring Challenge. Today is the FIRST day of a THREE DAY blog hop to jumpstart your creativity. If you’re new to the coloring challenge or have any questions about the coloring challenge you can refer to this post : http://www.thedailymarker.com/2016/10/coloring-challenge-bring-it-on/
For my colouring project for Day 2, I decided to have another play with my Inktense watercolour pencils. Now I am by no means an expert with these, far from it, I have only used them 7 or 8 times, but I do like them a lot and they make a nice change from my other watercolour mediums.
Here is my card.
I have a video for you which shows my colouring process, which a few hints and tips. I have not filmed the whole colouring process as the video would be REALLY long. Inktense colouring is all about layers, and therefore drying time is required! So grab yourself a cup of something, or a glass of something and sit back!
Kathy’s colouring challenge is all about finding 10 minutes to colour, this project took a lot longer to do but if you have the time, well worth it in the end. The most important thing is to just carve out 10 minutes to colour, no matter what image or what medium.
I would love to hear from you – whether you have any advice for using Inktense pencils. Do you use them? Like them? Dislike them? Any hints and tips? Let me know….
Thank you for your visit today and I hope to see you during the coloring challenge. Be sure to use the hashtag #thedailymarker30day so we can find your work or you can join the Facebook group here. https://www.facebook.com/groups/201290420294581/

Your flowers are beautiful. I love using watercolor pencils and am bookmarking this page to watch later today because I can tell your tips will help me. The black strips at top and bottom really make the flowers stand out.

Gorgeous card of flowers! Are those poppies? How fun it would be to color them orange like California Poppies.

Hi! I am so glad to have come to your blog via Kathy R’so blog-hop for the 30 Days Coloring Challenge.
I have been playing around with my watercolor pencils lately, and I learned SO MUCH from your video! I have been coloring a flower half way and then trying to drag the color the rest of the way to hopefully have it look like that section is in the light.
You put dainty dabs and dots and lines of color and pulled them out, and layered over and over again! I AM SO EXCITED! I feel like I found the Fountain of Youth or something! There is hope for me learning to get this technique! Thank you!
To say I really like your card would be a huge understatement! It is so lovely!
Thank you for sharing your talent!
