Hello friends
I am back today with a card for you featuring a beautiful floral stamp from Studio Katia. It is called Floral Trimmings and I have had it for a few months now, and only just got around to stamping it up – isn’t that always the way? It was one of the few bits of colouring that I managed to get done whilst chatting/eating/laughing with my friends recently on a crafty getaway.
But colour it I did and it has even made it onto a card base. Yay for that!
I started by stamping the image with Versafine Onyx Black ink onto some Tim Holtz Distress Watercolor Cardstock. I used my MISTI so that I could double stamp it as there is a little bit of texture on this cardstock.
Next, I set about colouring it with my Daniel Smith paints and did some very loose watercolouring on some of the flowers as they are quite small. On the larger flowers I did some blending to add darker/lighter areas. I then cut the image out ready to mount up.
Next I took a Neenah Solar White 110lb card base and blended some Twisted Citron Distress Ink from bottom to top, fading it out towards the centre/top part to get an ombre blend. I spent about 15 minutes trying to decide on the background colour and am really pleased that I went with this lovely bright yellow/green in the end. It’s fresh and lively and I always love that look.
I mounted the floral panel onto the base with foam tape and then took my Altenew “Fabulous” die and ran that through the die cutting machine with some black cardstock. I adhered that to the base with Ranger Multi Medium Matte and lastly returned the panel to the MISTI to stamp the “friend” sentiment to finish it off. I absolutely LOVE the size of this die, and the font, it it is so perfect for an A2 top folding card.
As pretty much all of my friends are fabulous, I thought this would be a great one to have ready to send out.
Thank you as always for your visit, you know I always love to hear from my blog readers, so please feel free to ask questions or leave a comment. I will be happy to help in any way I can.
Have a wonderful week, whatever you are doing.

Oh WOW!!! WOW!!! It looked amazing coloured with the Daniel Smith, but even more amazing with that gorgeous green background. Looks like a patch of flowers on a green hill…… oh to be sat amongst it all afternoon. xx
