Hello friends
Day 3 of the teasers for the June release at Clearly Besotted is upon us! I hope that you have enjoyed looking at the new sets so far. All sets will be available to purchase on 1st June at 8pm, BST at Clearly Besotted and Simon Says Stamp.
For today’s card, I used one of the larger sets. This one is called That’s Genius and it is a perfect set for this time of year when we are wanting to congratulate those who have passed exams or graduated or if we want to thank teachers.
This was such a fun card to make and I have the perfect little girl to send it to! If she passes! And it was pretty simple to put together.
I ink blended some Distress Inks over a 4″ x 4″ panel of Bristol Smooth cardstock – this has a smooth surface and is really good for blending inks on. I didn’t really pay too much attention to what went where but was mindful of not ending up with any muddy areas. Once I had blended the inks, I splattered some water drops onto the panel and lifted the water with a paper towel.
Next I stamped the cat onto Neenah cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and coloured it with Copics. My Copics are certainly getting a work out these days!
I stamped the sentiment using Versamark ink and applied Hero Arts White Embossing Powder onto it and heat set it. It was trimmed with a little banner on one end.
All I needed to do was assemble the card, so I adhered the inked panel to a 5″ x 5″ square top folding card base using DST. I then popped the sentiment on with foam tape and the cat on with a double layer of foam tape.
To finish off, I added some glossy accents to the glasses and some die cut stars. I really loved how this fun little card turned out, and I hope my niece enjoys receiving it when the time comes.
Please do hop over to see what Stephanie, Keren, Michelle and our two guest designers for this month, Anita and Lisa have created.
Thank you so much for visiting. I am always grateful for you stopping by and I love to hear from you if you have time to leave me a comment. I will be back tomorrow with my final teaser project. See you all then and in the meantime, happy crafting!
Copics used: C0, C1, C3, R20, B000
