Hello friends
Today I am sharing another project with you featuring the beautiful set of dies that I was sent by Spellbinders recently and I have enjoyed incorporating them into my cards.
On The Wings of Love is a set of three border dies, I used one of the border dies on this card, but I couldn’t resist making another – and it is very different to the last. So, here is the card for you today, and I have teamed the super pretty lacy die with Altenew’s Bamboo Rose stampset.
I began by die cutting two of the border die from Neenah Solar white cardstock and adhering them with a spray adhesive onto an A2 top folding horizontal base card. Spray adhesive works really well for these intricate dies it is quicker, more efficient and leaves a lot less residue on your base.
The images from Bamboo Rose were then stamped onto Copic friendly cardstock using the MISTI and coloured with Copics (numbers listed below).
I then fussy cut them and played around with the placement to see what arrangement I would like. Once I was happy I took a photo and started to adhere them to the base using foam tape or wet adhesive depending on what went where. Some of the pieces have a double layer of foam tape so that they stand out – there is a lot of dimension on this card.
I then stamped the greeting using Versafine Onyx Black ink and trimmed it to size, adhering it to the panel with foam tape. Lastly I added a few sparkling sequins to finish the card off.
I think the dies provide such a pretty backdrop to the floral image. They actually remind me a bit of a wrought iron gate/trough, and I wondered about making a similar card with them in black and mass of flowers behind. Another day….
I hope that you all have a wonderful weekend and that you get some crafting time into your busy schedules. Thank you, as always, for stopping by to visit me. It makes my day when you leave a comment and let me know what you think of my work.
Copics: R30, R32, R35, YG00, YG01, YG03, YG17, Colourless Blender, Y08, Y19, V01, V12, V15, V17

I’ve really enjoyed seeing your makes with the Spellbinders dies. I don’t use a lot of dies, other than my stitched and other frames, and you have managed to make me want more because of how you’ve used them. Very very inventive Lisa – and not good for my wallet! xx
