Hello friends!
I am back today with the second countdown teaser for the Clearly Besotted October Release. Today I am featuring two new sets, the adorable Merry Mouse and a sentiment set called Just Saying. I also use the tree from last year’s set Trimming The Tree.
I began by stamping my mice and cookies onto some masking paper and fussy cutting them out. I took some Neenah cardstock and stamped the cookies first, added the mask and then stamped the two mice, so it appears as if they are sitting behind the cookies. Next I laid down the masks for the two mice and stamped the tree from Trimming The Tree, so this sits right at the back of the scene. Using a Copic 0.3 multiliner, I drew a trunk for the tree by hand.
I removed the masks and coloured the little scene with Copics (numbers listed below).
The panel was trimmed down with a Hero Arts Rectangle Infinity die as I just love the finish you get with this die (it’s not as harsh as when you cut with a trimmer). The finished panel was adhered to a top folding A2 card base that I created from Simon Says Stamp Fog cardstock.
The sentiment from Just Saying was stamped with Versamark Ink onto some Simon Says Stamp red cardstock, white embossing powder added and then I heat set. This was trimmed to size and popped up with foam tape.
To embellish the card, I added some Ranger Christmas Red Stickles onto the tree to make it look as if it has baubles. Ranger Star Dust Stickles were added to the hat trim and pom pom. Tonic Nuvo Aqua Shimmer was added to the large red bauble and some black glaze pen to their eyes.
I though the Ice Cube Jewels from Lucy’s Cards would add a final little bit of sparkle.
Please do hop over to see what my teamies Stephanie, Keren and Michelle have created – I know already that I will love what they have to share!
