Hello friends
It’s the fourth day of the teasers for the Clearly Besotted October release and I am back with another Christmas card for you. Today I decided to do a little watercolouring. I often reach for Copics for colouring of critters but I really like the different look and feel you get when you watercolour them. It’s a bit like pencil colouring – it completely transforms your images when you use a different medium.
So here is my countdown teaser for today. This card uses two of the new sets, Winter Plushies and Christmas Calligraphy.
I began by taking an A2 panel of Tim Holtz Distress Watercolor Cardstock and stamping my little scene. I had to cut masks for the penguin, snowman and one of the trees in order to get the layered look. I always think it’s a faff to cut masks but these images are not difficult to cut and I love the reveal of the scene as you take the masks off. But, if you are not a fan of masking, there will be coordinating dies available.
The penguin was stamped with Versafine Onyx Black Ink (waterproof), the mask added and then the snowman stamped to the side. The snowman mask was added and then two trees were stamped either side. I laid the tree mask down on the left and then stamped the second tree behind.
All masks were then removed and I watercoloured the image with Daniel Smith Extra Fine Watercolours. After it was dry, I popped the panel back into the MISTI and stamped the greeting using Versafine Onyx Black Ink. The panel was then die cut with a Hero Arts Rectangle Infinity die.
I prepped a pink card base and then adhered the panel onto the base with DST. To finish the card, I added a few sequins. No shimmer or anything on this card – I wanted to keep the soft unfussy feel.
I really love the greetings in this sentiment set – the font is beautiful and bold. That finishes today’s card but I will be back tomorrow with my final teaser for you. It would be lovely if you could pop over to see what Stephanie, Michelle and Keren have made today. I’m excited to see what they have made today.
Happy crafting and thank you so much for your visit, I really appreciate you taking the time to stop by.

Absolutely gorgeous scene with these adorable plushies. I’ve loved seeing all these cards I’ve seen off the four of you in the last four days. I have learnt so much off you all, I wish my budget stretched to them all but I will have to just get two sets this time as I still haven’t got the two sets from the last release yet lol. Thank you For all the brilliant examples youve shown .

So sweet! I love the soft water colouring and what a wonderful scene you have created and the colour of card base is perfect for the card. I often forget to use coloured card bases, so thank you for the inspiration xx
