Hello there!
Today is the final day of the countdown teasers for the Clearly Besotted January release. Today my card features the super cute Snail Mail set – this is an A6 set and is great not only for creating a card, but also for using on envelopes as it has some fun postage stamp images 🙂
Today I have made a belated birthday card and I created a little scene with the tortoise images from the set. There are also some snails with envelopes which are adorable.
I took a panel of Neenah 80lb and the MFT Drifts and Hills Stencil. I blended Tumbled Glass Distress Ink above the stencil edge and Twisted Citron and Mowed Lawn below it.
The tortoise and mailbox images were stamped with Memento onto Neenah and coloured with Copics. I also stamped a bird from Fairy Tale Princess and Copic coloured that. I fussy cut all the images but there are coordinating dies available. These were set to one side whilst I worked on the rest of the card.
I die cut two of the MFT Rectangle Stitched Scallop Frames and adhered them together with wet adhesive and then glued them onto the ink blended panel. The panel was popped into the MISTI and the sentiment stamped with Versafine Onyx Black ink. The “birthday” comes from a recently released sentiment set called You’re Invited but the rest of the greeting is from the new set.
The panel was adhered to a base card with DST. I added some Tonic Nuvo Crystal Glaze to the tortoise shells and mailbox, along with some Tonic Aqua shimmer on the envelopes and bird.
I really hope I get to send this card out at some point! I cannot remember the last time I was late with a birthday card, I am always early. So maybe I’ll have to be late on purpose haha.
If you have some time to spare, I am sure Stephanie, Keren and Michelle would love you to visit them and see what they have made today.
Thanks for joining me today, all sets are released tomorrow, on 1st January at 8pm GMT at Clearly Besotted and Simon Says Stamp. For your convenience, I will send out a post tomorrow with a reminder and all the links. Have a great day!
