Hello there
I am very happy to be Guest Designing once more for Foiled Fox over at the Foiled Fox blog. And I have a floral card for you today using the stunning Handpicked Bouquet set from Altenew. When I first saw this set, I knew that I would love it. Which is a little bit surprising as I don’t normally use stamp layering sets. And today I went for a little bit of an unusual palette. I so often do pinks and purples for my flowers but today I went with a green/grey palette.
I adore green flowers, you don’t see them often, but trust me if you Google them, there are plenty out there, admittedly not with grey leaves but I don’t mind that at all. So, to start I did the stamping. I used Neenah 80lb and stamped the outline layer with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and then went ahead and finished the layering. There are three layers on the flower itself, two on the leaves and only one on some parts of the spray. I used Frayed leaf, Forest Glades and Evergreen on the flower and Morning Frost and Evening Gray on the leaves.
There is a guide in the packaging which is really helpful. I then die cut with the coordinating die.
I took another panel of Neenah 80lb and masked off a small area on the bottom right of the panel and then laid a stencil down and applied Morning Frost ink through it, fading it out towards the top left. Next I added some black splatters using the Altenew Watercolor set and a No. 2 round brush and left it to dry.
Once dry, I stamped the sentiment from Altenew Tulip in Versafine Onyx Black and cut a strip of the left side. I mounted it up onto a top folding A2 base card with DST. The floral image was popped up with foam tape and I added some Raindrops from Lucy’s card to finish it off.
I really like the muted colours, I think they are a little bit unexpected. A big thanks to Foiled Fox for having me guest with them, it’s been an absolute pleasure!
Thanks for joining me and I will be back soon with another project for you. Happy crafting!

I love everything, the stamped image, the colours you picked, the splatter and particularly the very discret but “definately there” distressed tiny squares! lovely ! xx

Hurrah for being back with the Foiled Fox! I love this project so much. I love the different colours that you’ve used and the hint of the stencil in the corner. I am never much good with layering stamps, but this turned out fabulous. xx
