Hello there
Today I have a couple of little cards for you using one of the newly released sets from Clearly Besotted called My Sweetheart. I didn’t get a chance to make any cards with this set for the actual release, but I think it’s such a sweet and pretty image, doesn’t take long to colour and I think would make a lovely notecard set if you wanted to make a set of 5 as a gift for someone for example.
So here are my two cards.
I stamped the image twice using my MISTI onto SSS Fog Cardstock using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and then die cut them both with the second largest die from Lawn Fawn Large Stitched Square Stackables. I then coloured one with my Copics and one with Polychromos pencils. I have listed the colours I used below.
Once I had finished colouring the Copic image, I added some Dandelion Yellow Nuvo Drops onto the centres of the flowers and let it dry. Next I took a craft knife and cut the centre out of the pencil coloured image. The Copic coloured image, I just left as is. I foam mounted both of them onto a Neenah 110lb square base card. The finished size of the cards is 3.75″ square – they are so dinky!
For the first sentiment, I took some Neenah 110lb and stamped a greeting from Snail Mail using Versafine Onyx Black Ink. I trimmed the card down into a strip and cut a banner shape at each end. This was popped up with foam tape across the opening. So that it sits flat, I have a single layer of foam tape on either end, and a double layer in the section which sits over the aperture.
For the second sentiment, I simply white heat embossed a sentiment from Tiny Type onto black cardstock and popped that up with foam tape. I really like how these came out, I don’t often use Copics on Fog cardstock so it was nice to refresh my memory to see how they looked.
I hope this gives you some inspiration for creating little cards – I don’t make them often enough. I think we get stuck in the vein of creating A2 every time, but I do like to vary my sizes and I think it can give the card a completely different look. Thank you for stopping by and visiting me today. I will see you soon with another project. Happy crafting!

You can always find a use for a dinky card. I like to pop them into little gifts I’m sending out. You don’t really need an envelope for that either! I really love your soft Polychromos colouring xx

These are both very pretty. I love a square card. I rarely make them as here in the USA it cost more to mail them.
