Hello there friends, welcome back!
Today I am kicking off the Clearly Besotted release teasers and this month I have 5 teaser cards to share with you. There are some very sweet stamp sets to share with you for the March release. My first card uses the mini A7 set called Budgie Buddies. Four squidgy budgies and a perch image but I decided to set mine free to fly around in a pink cloudy sky 🙂
As I do the majority of the time, I began by stamping my images onto Neenah with Copic friendly ink. They were Copic coloured, fussy cut and set to one side. There are coordinating dies available if you don’t like to fussy cut and Copic colours are listed below if you are interested.
I created a softish pink cloud background by taking Worn Lipstick Distress Oxide and ink blending that onto my base card with the MFT Cloud stencil. I masked an area around the outside of the base card so that I could mat a panel on top and the clouds would not be visible around the edges. The pink is definitely more visible in the flesh but not bright at all. Next I took a panel of Neenah 80lb and die cut an oval from Hero Arts Nesting Infinity Ovals. I added foam tape to the back and then popped it up over my base card.
I adhered the perch with wet adhesive and the budgies with foam tape. Laugh out Loud Again is a new sentiment set and has some wonderful cheeky sentiments, and I thought that this sentiment worked really well with the birds. So, I white heat embossed it on black cardstock, trimmed it and adhered it so it overhangs the window
To embellish the card a little, I found some enamel dots in my stash. They are from Dear Lizzy and came out years ago and for some reason had never made it onto a card, but they were just right for this one. This is why we should never throw things away! What you can’t see in the photo, is some really pretty sparkle that I added to the birds tummies and heads with my Copic Spica pens.
And that finishes the card for today. If you have some time, do hop over to see what Stephanie, Michelle and Keren have created, I am sure they would love to see you. I’ll be back tomorrow, until then, happy crafting!
Copics used: Perch (E55, E57), Budgies (Y08, YG00, YG01, YG03, B00, B02, B04, B05)

Oh my! This is so super tweet….. hahah…. I know, not terribly original, but worth a try! Love the feathery texture on the budgies and the pink background – just works so well. Think this might be my favourite from the release! One day I’ll tell you about the Yorkshire Canary Club….

Lisa these tiny fluffy buggies are super super cute. Your colouring is as faultless as ever & the touch of a pink sky works fabulously against the blue, green. Thank you for the introduction to Billie & Bertie budgie ( don’t ask) see you tomorrow for more inspiration x
