Hello friends, how are you enjoying the release so far? Today’s card for the Clearly Besotted teasers for March features some robots and is aptly called Robot Plushies. An A6 set with a plethora of fun robot images, a cityscape stamp and some little rockets, UFO’s etc – it’s cute!
So, here is my card for today.
You all know the score by now. Images were stamped, Copic coloured, fussy cut and set aside. There will be coordinating dies available for this set which does make life easier, especially when there are balloon strings that can so easily be snipped off by mistake :-/. Ask me how I know.
For this background, I thought I would get my alcohol inks out. They don’t come out to play too often as I mostly can’t bear what I create with them. I think I may need some different colours – ahahahahaah! What’s that saying? A bad workman always blames his tools…..
I digress. I took a piece of Yupo paper – big enough to pop behind that window panel and squirted a load of Alcohol Blending Solution over it. I then added a few drops of Sailboat Blue Alcohol Ink on top and blew it around with a straw. And pretty much hoped for the best. I added a bit more solution here and there and a drop more ink here and there and left it to dry. It doesn’t take long but I left it an hour or so as I didn’t want to end up messing up and starting again!
I die cut a window panel from MFT Grout cardstock and a Lawn Fawn Stitched Rectangle Die as well as a SSS Stitched Circle Die. After attaching my alcohol ink piece to the base card, I then popped the grout panel on top using DST. The sentiment is from the set and white heat embossed on MFT Gravel Gray cardstock and trimmed with an MFT Essential Fishtail Sentiment die.
I positioned the images and stuck them down with foam tape and then added my embellishment, which for today was just Tonic Crystal Glaze. I put that on the balloons and the glass visor on the robot.
Thank you for stopping by today and if you have time, please do head over to see Stephanie, Keren and Michelle’s creations. I am looking forward to seeing what they have made.
All sets will be released tomorrow, 1st March at 8pm GMT at Clearly Besotted and Simon Says Stamp but I will have one more card for you tomorrow featuring the chubby budgies, plus a reminder of all the cards I have made with links to the sets if you are interested. Until then, have a great evening!

I don’t know why you don’t like the alcohol ink panels you do because I LOVE them. They always flow and blend perfectly – in my eyes at least! Love this litle guy and you are brave fussy cutting out those balloons. I too have snipped off in my time… Lovely and bright card. xx

Such a cute card Lisa ! This little robot is adorable and I love your AI background. AI make such vivid colours ! I’m like you, I bought AI because I loved what the other crafters made with them but I don’t really like what I’m doing with them….need time to practice more ! Of course I love your CAS design and your colouring is amazing. Thanks for the great inspiration as usual ! Hugs x
PS : I’m so sorry I have not been to visit you lately, but the frenzy since December is quieter and I’m slowly getting back on my cruising pace!
