Hello there crafty friends! Today I have a card for you that has absolutely no colouring whatsoever. Yes, rare for me! But I do really enjoy stamping images and am slowly building up my options to create cards this way.
So, today’s card features the beautiful Brushstroke Blooms from MFT. I got this set a few weeks ago and couldn’t wait to ink it up.
To kick off, I stamped all my images onto Neenah 80lb using a selection of MFT dye inks and then cut them out with the coordinating dienamics. I did do more than I thought I would need but I do like to play around with them, so it’s always good to have extra on hand. I then die cut the MFT Bold Stripes Cover Up from Grout Gray cardstock and adhered that to a Neenah 110lb top folding base card using wet adhesive.
I played around with my layout and then picked it up using Press’n Seal. This is a really useful product for when you have a bunch of die cuts you want to keep in place once arranged. Once I had pressed the film down firmly onto the stacked die cuts, I turned the stack over and applied wet adhesive to what would be the bottom layer of the arrangement. This was then pressed onto my base card.
I then added foam tape to the other layers of die cuts and popped them up on top. I took the “Happy Birthday” sentiment from MFT Big Birthday Wishes, stamped it with Versafine and then fussy cut it out, so it looks like it’s been die cut rather than just stamped onto a strip. I like this look and do it often on cards to make a change from a sentiment strip, especially when I don’t have a coordinating die. I added some foam tape to the back and pressed this down over the floral arrangement.
Lastly I added some sequins for embellishment. I think it’s a lovely set and I’ll definitely have it out again soon. MFT are retiring this set – such a shame as I think it’s gorgeous! But I believe you can still get it there for a bargain, and it is still stocked at Simon Says Stamp. I have links to stores below.
Thank you for stopping by today, I will be back on Saturday with the start of the Clearly Besotted May release countdown teasers. Until then, happy crafting!

It’s a brilliant design and the colours really do work well with the grey background. Can’t beat that orange! Sometimes just stamping can be really fun – and gives all those pretty ink colours a good work out xx
