Hello! It’s the final day of my countdown teasers for you. All sets will be released tomorrow, 1st May, at 8pm BST here at Clearly Besotted and also at Simon Says Stamp. I will have a post for you tomorrow which will include details of all the new stamp sets, coordinating dies and links for your convenience, but for now, I have my fourth card for you and I have gone with a masculine birthday card for today.
This set is called Wise Owl and it has six different owl images and some wonderful sentiments to choose from. I thought for today’s card I would repeat stamp one of the sentiments and use it as a background behind my window panel. I took a panel of Neenah 80lb and repeat stamped the sentiment using Versamark ink. I used my MISTI to do this, just moving the cardstock up one grid line each time so that my sentiments were evenly spaced. I applied Hero Arts White Embossing Powder and heat set.
I took Chipped Sapphire, Pine Needles and Twisted Citron Distress Inks and blended from top to bottom. This is one of the combinations that Kristina Werner recently included in a video and I thought it would be fab for a male birthday card. I trimmed the panel down and adhered it flat to a top folding base card.
Next I took another panel of white cardstock, die cut it with my SSS Stitched Rectangles dies and also a Hero Arts Circle Infinity die. I stamped a sentiment from the soon to be released new stamp set called Feeling Sentimental at the bottom right. The panel was popped up with foam tape.
All I needed to do now was stamp and colour my images. So I took two of the owls from Wise Owl, coloured them with Copics and fussy cut them. There will be coordinating dies for this set. I then took the banner from Magical Plushies, coloured and trimmed that too. All Copic numbers are listed below.
The owls were adhered with wet adhesive and foam tape, as was the banner. Again, no sequins today but a little bit of sparkle courtesy of Tonic Nuvo Aqua Shimmer – just on the books and balloons. I also added a little Crystal Glaze to their eyes so they have a lovely gloss.
As always, thank you for spending time with me this week – I really do appreciate you visiting my blog and I hope that you have enjoyed seeing the cards this week. As always, it would be lovely if you could hop over to Stephanie, Michelle and Keren to see what they have made that I am sure will inspire you. Until tomorrow friends, happy crafting!
