Hi there everyone, today I have a card for you which utilises a panel I watercoloured recently, along with a beautiful mandala die from MFT. I was playing around in the craft room, looking for inspiration, and I went to my stash of watercoloured panels. I pulled out a small square panel that I had made a few months back that had been trimmed from a larger panel and put back unused. I had created it with Dr PH Martin’s Radiant Concentrated Liquid Watercolours – Turqouise Blue and Grass Green and a panel of Arches Cold Pressed paper.
And as luck would have it, the MFT Captivating Mandala die was the perfect fit – I had just enough to be able to die cut this beautiful mandala from it. So that’s how I started my card. Although this is quite an intricate die, I ran it through the Gemini Junior twice and it cut perfectly. I set it to one side whilst I worked on my white panel.
I squeezed a drop of the same liquid watercolour inks into a round palette and then diluted them slightly. I took a No 2 Round Brush and added some splatters onto the white panel and left it to dry. Once dry, I trimmed it with a HA Rectangle Infinity Die and it was adhered with DST to a top folding A2 card made from MFT Limelight cardstock.
To adhere the manda onto the white panel I used an adhesive spray which I find really brilliant for intricate dies. So I sprayed it, pressed it down and put a few acrylic blocks onto it to make sure it was fully stuck down. Next I took a sentiment from MFT Essential Sentiments and white heat embossed it onto black cardstock. This was trimmed to fit the whole panel width and popped up with foam tape.
Lastly I added a few Ice Crystal sequins from Lucy’s cards to finish the card off. I really loved how it turned out, and I am so glad I had another opportunity to use this beautiful die again. Thank you so much for stopping by, I wish you all a wonderful day. Happy crafting!

Just beautiful! I love the added splatters at the end and it’s such a good way to use up panels lying around. Can’t believe how perfectly it cut – that machine looks to be a good investment. xx

This is gorgeous, Lisa! I love the blend you got with the green and blue, looks gorgeous against the white card base and the black sentiments strip. Love the added addition of splatters too! xx
