Hello there friends!
Today I am excited to be a stop on the Heffy Doodle blog hop celebrating their newest release. And I have two cards to share with you today! The first one features the beautiful new Blooming Marvellous floral set, together with the Ovally Excited Die set – isn’t that just such a fun name for a die set!
I began by taking pretty much all the images from the set and stamping them with various MFT Dye Inks before die-cutting them with the coordinating dies. I did way more than I ended up using but I have enough for at least one other card which is always good. Next I took a panel of Neenah and die cut it with one of the oval dies before popping it up with foam tape over a base card.
I arranged the flowers around the frame and adhered some flat and some with foam tape behind, so there is lots of dimension in this card. Finally I stamped the two larger greetings with MFT Summer Splash ink, popped them up with foam tape before stamping the smaller greeting on plain white card. To finish the card off I added some Nuvo Drops onto the centres of the flowers and some White Orchid Sequins from Lucy’s cards scattered amongst the window. I love how this card turned out, it’s so summery and I always think it’s nice to see greetings stamped in a different colour to black. It’s a small thing, but I think it really changes the look of the final card.
You Are My Sunshine
My second card features the very sweet You Quack Me Up set – what an adorable set this is. Fun little duck images, with puddles of water, and umbrella and all sorts of extra images to create a little scene.
To begin I layered loads of different width strips of cardstock onto some white card which had been prepped with Stick It Adhesive. I trimmed it down and added it to a base card. Next I took the Silver Linings Cloud Dies (again, another fab name for a die set!) and die cut a vellum and also a white cloud bank. These were adhered together and then added onto the panel with DST.
I stamped my images and Copic coloured them before diecutting with the coordinating dies. I added a little Aqua Shimmer onto the sun for a bit of sparkle. Before adding them to the panel I took a sentiment a stamped it with black ink before arranging my images around it. When you open the card it reads “when skies are gray”.
Thank you so much for joining me on the hop today, I hope that you enjoyed both the cards. Next stop on the hop is the lovely Gemma. Happy crafting and I’ll be back soon with another project for you!
