Hi everyone
It’s been a while since I’ve done a video but today I have made one! I’ve been wondering for a while what to do on my YouTube channel and thought it might be fun to do a mini series uisng one stampset. I think the mini series will end up being 4 or maybe 5 ways to use the Concord & 9th Hello Lovely stampset – a different video for each colouring medium.
Now I know this stamp set is not new, and you probably either have it or covet it. What I will say is that although it is not new out, I believe it is a totally timeless stamp set. I am sure this style will always be popular – it’s elegant, beautiful and easy to use as you just stamp and go.
So here is today’s card.
And here is the video for you. I have done some of the colouring in real time with a real time voiceover. There are some sections of the colouring that have been sped up very slightly and have some music.
I stamped the image using Versafine Onyx Black Ink onto Strathmore Bristol Smooth Cardstock to start off. I wanted to keep this image light and airy (hard for me!) and so I chose a very limited colour palette (3 colours – blue, yellow and green), and just used 5 markers. The 5 marker colours are listed at the end of this post. I hope that this shows you that you really don’t need loads of markers to make a pretty card! You could have actually done this with one green, one blue and the yellow and I still think it would be gorgeous – that’s the beauty of a gorgeous image, you don’t need to add much!
After watercolouring just two layers, I trimmed the panel and mounted it onto a base card which I had adhered a small trim of MFT Black & White Stripes paper to. I simply white heat embossed a sentiment from the set onto black cardstock and popped it up with foam tape. I didn’t add sequins, I thought it looked fine as it was.
I hope that you enjoyed the video and as always I would love to hear from you if you have any comments on the card. I will be back soon with another video in the series. Thank you as always for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful day!
Zigs used: Pale Green, Emerald Green, Light Blue, Cobalt Blue, Yellow.

I would personally love to thank you for using a ‘not new’ stamp set for this mini-series! Too many bloggers feel pressured to use only the latest and greatest. I fall into the “covet it” category, but if I were to have this in my stash, I would LOVE the fresh new inspiration for it! I’d love to see you do something similar with a set from each manufacturer. Give life and love to products in our stash. Help crafters learn that a card is still lovely even if the stamp set isn’t less than 3 days old. After all, our recipients (unless crafters that follow a bunch of blogs) will *never* know how old the products used were. I so wish other bloggers and designers would do this. I see only a couple manufacturers supporting this philosophy, WPlus9 being the only one I can think of off hand. Anyway, spread the word that old shouldn’t mean unloved!!!
