We’ve made it! It’s release day at Clearly Besotted today. And I have one last teaser card for you. The sets will go live at 8.00pm BST at Clearly Besotted and Simon Says Stamp. But let’s jump straight to the final card to whet your appetite. You may remember that a few months ago, Clearly Besotted released a lovely set called Seasonal Line Up. Well, Jenny has also created a set for Christmas – it’s really so much fun and it is called Christmas Line Up. Four lines of adorable Christmas images – including bears, mice, Santas and reindeers. Today’s card features the cute little mice! I’ve gone a big mice mad this month haven’t I?
How adorable is this line up! Mice peeking out from behind presents, popping out of presents and pulling presents on a trolley! I began by stamping the line up image onto Neenah 80lb cardstock and colouring it with with Copics (numbers listed below if you are interested). I fussy cut it out and set it to one side.
For my background I took another panel of Neenah 80lb, masked off the bottom area and blended Distress Oxides into the top portion. I used Mermaid Lagoon, Blueprint Sketch and Chipped Sapphire. I added some sparkle courtesy of the much used and fabulous Shimmer Spritz Sparkle Spray and I also added some snow with my Distress Spray Stain Picket Fence. I’ve used both of these a lot this month – I just love the effect they give together. It’s hard to see the real snowy effect in the photos, it’s much more obvious in real life. There are lots of tiny dots of white caused by the spray.
I added a little bit more snow in with a white gel pen and then trimmed the panel down before matting it onto a card base with DST. The sentiment from Sentimental Christmas was stamped under the images which had been added on with foam tape. As always, I added a little more sparkle with some Tonic Nuvo Aqua Shimmer Pen and also some white highlights with a white gel pen. To finish embellishing the card, I put some Ranger Star Dust Stickles onto their hats and some black glaze pen onto their eyes.
So there we have it, the card was finished. I hope you have enjoyed all the cards so far this month.
Copics used: Reds (R39, RV29, R35), Blues (B04, B02, B00), Yellows (Y19, Y08, Y02), Greens (YG17, YG25, YG03, YG01), Mice (E44, E43, E42, E41, R20)
Before you rush off, do head over to see what Stephanie, Michelle, Keren, and our lovely special guest Joy have created.
And here is a reminder of the other cards that I created. I will link all the new sets below (please note the links won’t be active until the sets go live at 8pm British Summer Time). I hope you have a wonderful week and THANK YOU as always for coming over to my blog. I really do appreciate all the visits and kind comments – they make my day!
