Hello everyone
Welcome back and a very happy New Year to you all! I hope you have all had a good break, whether you celebrate Christmas or otherwise. This year seems to have flown by, I think that’s what happens when you get older haha. And the months go by in a flash too. So here we are, ready to start the Clearly Besotted Countdown Teasers for the January 2020 release! The sets will release on 6th January and I am starting my teasers using a super sweet set called Roman Hippos together with a new stencil which works well for all sets this month which have a fun history theme to them!
So, here we are. Ack! Those little laurel leaves behind their ears!!!
I began by masking off the bottom part of the white panel and blending Antique Linen and Old Paper Distress Inks above the masking tape, making sure to fade out towards the top. I then took the new stencil which is called History Has It and applied Old Paper through the laurel wreath section. I ran the panel through the Gemini with a Lawn Fawn Stitched Rectangle just for a little added interest.
The two hippos were stamped with Memento and coloured with Copics (all colours are listed below) and set to one side. I took two of the sentiments from the set and stamped them with Versafine Clair Nocturne onto the panel and then popped the hippos above with foam tape.
To finish the card, I took a little heart from SSS Mini Hearts and just adhered that down in the centre, for a tiny pop of red. Very CAS but I really love those soft muted warm colours. Do head over to the Clearly Besotted Blog to see what they have to inspire you and don’t forget the fabulous duo, Keren and Michelle. I will be back with my second teaser tomorrow, until then, Happy Crafting!
Copics used: W5, W3, W2, W1, W0, YG63
