Hello everyone, welcome back to my final teaser for the January 2020 release from Clearly Besotted. Today’s card features some precious pooches, in the form of vikings and I went for another CAS card and used a brilliant newly released stencil as my backdrop.
When I started this card, as is often the case with me (!), I had something completely different in mind. I got almost to the end of that first card and realised it just didn’t work so had to start my thinking all over again! When I am pushed for time, as is the case at the moment because we move house on 3rd January, I look back at my old cards and take inspiration from those, just to take some pressure off thinking of a completely new design. Well, that is what happened on the first card, and it didn’t work! But it did start the cogs working, so out came the fabulous Splatter It stencil (LOVE LOVE LOVE) which makes for instant impact with minimum effort! I blended some Mermaid Lagoon Distress Ink through it, fading out towards the centre and deepening the outside edges, just by adding more and more ink.
I took two of the dogs from Viking Pooches, stamped them with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and coloured them with Copics (numbers below). At the same time, I coloured a few of the bones too as this is a party and bones cannot be in short supply! They dogs were fussy cut and foam tape added to the back. I took a sentiment from the set and stamped it down with Versafine Onyx Black Ink and then ran the panel through the Gemini with a Lawn Fawn stitched rectangle, to add a little bit of detail.
Finally I popped the pooches on and adhered the panel onto a base card. It’s so different to my first card haha and I like how it turned out! That finishes the card for today and my teasers for this month. I think this card will be a great masculine card and with that in mind, I didn’t even add any sparkle!
I will be back on release day which is a little later than normal this month and will be on Jan 6th 2020. I will have a reminder of my cards and links to all the new products. In the meantime, please spend a few minutes over at the Clearly Besotted Blog, and also with Keren and Michelle. We all love to hear from you. Have a great day!
Copics used: Dogs (W5, W3, W2, W1, W0), Axe (YG13, C5, C4, C2, C0), Helmet (R29, R27, R24, C4, C2, C0)

So yappy ! Loving these cute, tough little dogs. You’ve made a brilliant card, even if it wasn’t design choice one to you.
Hope the house move went well, six years later & I still have unpacked boxes hehe.

This is so cute, Lisa! I love how you have used the splatter stencil in the background as it looks like the dogs are jumping out from it! So fun! xx
