Hello friends!
Are you all doing ok out there? Today I am joining a fun blog party over at Simon Says Stamp. We are celebrating our creative hobby by taking some of our much loved Simon products and giving them some new love! This is not a blog hop, but a blog party and we have over 100 designers joining in ready to provide you with a boat load of inspiration! Perfect for these times where we are spending a lot of time indoors and are maybe lacking mojo or just want some fresh ideas to use on a new project. Maybe you are crafting with loved ones, or crafting virutally with crafty friends? Whatever you are doing, we hope you enjoy the blog party! Make sure to read to the end of this post to see how you might want to share ways in which you are enjoying creating with others.
So I have dug out my beloved Outline Clustered Leaves die, plus the Center Cut Heart background stamp and Thanks Frame die and I have made a video for you. Although my craft room is not yet finished (will it ever be?!), I did manage to get my filming set up completed this week.
My two cards feature Nuvo Shimmer Powders – not a new product, these have been out for some time, but they are new to me as they have been sitting around for a little while waiting to be used. They are good fun, and not nearly as messy as some other powders can be. So here are the two cards. I show a couple of ways of using the powders but there are plenty more ways to have fun with them. For both my cards I use Blue Blitz, Falling Leaves and Atlantis Burst powders.
And here is the video for you.
My first card was created by white heat embossing the SSS Center Cut Heart stamp and adding a few drops of powders randomly over it before spritzing water over the top. I moved the colour around a little with a paintbrush and left it to dry before adding the sentiment.
My second card was created by adding the powders onto a plain cardstock panel, spritzing with water and letting it dry. I then adhered the Outline Clustered Leaves die over the top and added my sentiment.
I hope that you enjoyed watching and if you have the powders, it has inspired you to get them out and have a play with them.
