When I made this card yesterday, as I stamped the sentiment I got to thinking that there aren’t many days when we don’t need sunshine and certainly a few more smiles. We certainly need them at the moment. But, this is not a place for politics, or even debate, it is a place to come to see handmade cards! Most of which I hope put a smile on your face, so this card goes out to all of you today.
My adorable images are from the Clearly Besotted Scene It Flowers and Flower Plushies sets that were released just over a month ago. I stamped my images onto Neenah 80lb and coloured them with Copics before fussy cutting them out.
For the background, I took the Freshly Cut stencil and applied Peacock Feathers above and Mowed Lawn and Twisted Citron below. You can’t actually see the rise and fall of the grass as it’s hidden behind all the images, but I know it’s there! The flowers were adhered flat onto the background with Multi Medium Matte.
To finish, I popped the little bear up with foam tape. To give it some extra interest as it is a clean and simple card, I took out my Spectrum Noir Clear Sparkle Pen and added some sparkle to the flowers. At this point, the pen DECIDED TO BLOB! A great big dollop of it, not just once, but TWICE. Ack. Don’t you just love it when that happens? So I managed to remove the bear without tearing the panel underneath, stamped and coloured another one and put him on. Voila! The other blob I managed to fix and it actually doesn’t look too bad at all today when I was scrutinising the card. I also popped a little bit of black glaze pen on the bears eyes.
I love that he wears a cute bluebell hat!
That finishes today’s card. Happy Wednesday folks, I hope you have some time to get crafty today. Thank you so much for stopping by.
