Hello there and welcome to the Hero Arts My Monthly Hero Blog Hop for the September 2022 release. So glad you are here! I am thrilled to be joining the Creative Team and guests this month and sharing inspiration using the new kit which is released today. I have two cards to share with you featuring this pretty vintage style kit. This post is part of a blog hop and there is a giveaway. More on that further down the post.

Thank You
For my first card I have used the 4″ x 6″ clear stamp set and the coordinating die from the My Monthly Hero Kit. This month the kit is all about autumn/fall but I chose a different colour palette for my first card and thought I would colour the flowers more with an end of summer cool tone vibe.
I began by stamping the main image onto some 80lb white cardstock using Intensified Black Ink. I coloured it with Copics and cut the image out with the coordinating die. I used some of the Rose Gold Metallic Floss from the kit to make a bow and then I adhered that down onto the vase with wet adhesive. I have listed the Copic colours that I used a little further down.
I then took a panel of white cardstock and taped the Taylored Expressions Rectangle Masking stencil to it. Using Hero Arts Blending Brushes, I applied Soft Sky ink towards the bottom and Sand Core Ink from the top, both of the colours fading towards the centre. Soft Sky is now discontinued but Dusty Blue Core Ink would also look beautiful here.
I trimmed the panel down with a Hero Arts Nesting Rectangle Infinity die and adhered it onto a top folding A2 base card using Precision Glue. The vase of flowers was then added on top with foam tape. I stamped a greeting from the stamp set onto Pitch Black cardstock using Versamark Ink, applied White Detail Embossing Powder and heat set. It was trimmed out with a sentiment label die from Message Strips Stamp & Cut XL and it was popped up with foam tape. I added a selection of Raindrops from Lucy’s Cards to finish the card.
Copic combinations used: (E37, E35), (BV25, BV23, BV20, V20). (YG95, YG93, YG91), (YG45), (YG63, G24, G21), (BV13, BV02, BV000), (B95, B93, B91), (B99, B97, B45, B21)
Love You
For my second card, I used the rub-ons and the background stamp from the kit and created a much more autumnal vintage style card.
I began by taking the sheet of rub-ons and trimming one of the main floral images out. You get two of the large floral images on the sheet along with some accompanying smaller images. I then peeled off the backing sheet and laid it onto some 80lb white cardstock. Using the tool provided, I carefully rubbed over the image until it had all transferred onto the white cardstock. You can peel the acetate off slowly and lay it back down again and repeat the process if you see any areas that haven’t transferred properly. The coordinating die included in the kit works on both the stamp set and the rub-on image, so I die cut it out and set it to one side.
For my background I stamped the cling background stamp from the kit onto some white cardstock using SSS Fog Gray Ink. I trimmed the panel down and adhered it to a top folding base card that I had created with SSS Fog Gray cardstock. The Fog Gray card and ink both have a warm grey tone that works well with the autumnal colours in the kit. The image was then added on top with wet adhesive. My sentiment comes from Artichoke Arrangement which is one of this month’s add on sets. It was stamped with Intens-ified Black Ink onto Fog Gray cardstock and trimmed out with a Hero Arts Nesting Circle Infinity die. I popped it up with foam tape.
