Well hello again! Welcome back to day two of the countdown teasers for the June release from Clearly Besotted. Today’s card features some Feisty Ferrets – a very cute set indeed! As this is a larger A6 set, you get lots of fun and playful ferret images (7 in total) with some additional scene building elements. Today I have a couple playing with a beach ball – why not?
I wasn’t sure exactly what scene I was going to create for the ferrets, but I knew I wanted them leaping around playing with a ball and so I rummaged through my dies and dug out the MFT Stitched Arch Stax set. I love this die set for window cards, I like the shape of the die and it’s perfect for little scenes. So I picked the largest die and ran it through the Gemini with some Neenah 80lb. I then took a base card (top folding horizontal) and the MFT Mini Clouds Edges Stencil and blended Salty Ocean Distress Ink to the area behind the window panel.
Next I took a couple of MFT Grassy Hills dies and some green cardstock and die cut them. I blended Mowed Lawn Distress Ink onto the edges for a bit of contrast and added interest. I deliberately picked an ancient “grubby” green Bazzill cardstock (that I don’t like much!) as ferrets are supposed to reside in prairies I believe, so I didn’t think bright lawn green was quite right for them! The grassy hills were trimmed to size and adhered together with wet adhesive and then again with MMM onto the base card. I put some foam tape on the window panel and popped that over the top. But first, I actually remembered to stamp my sentiment! This fabulous sentiment is from the Laugh Out Loud Friends set which is also being released in June – SO MANY fun sentiments in this one, and I picked one with a specific friend in mind.
All I needed to do now was create my little scene for the window. So I stamped all my images with Memento and coloured them with Copics. I fussy cut them out (there will be coordinating dies) and popped them all up with foam tape and arranged them in the window. I added some Aqua Shimmer to the ball, bees and ferret “masks” and then some Crystal Glaze to the ball.
I am sure there are many of you that can relate to that sentiment. I can’t wait to get the “I don’t know what’s tighter, our friendship… or our jeans” sentiment on a card. That one is definitely one for me! Happy crafting and see you tomorrow. Before that, I hope you can find some time to visit, Stephanie, Keren and Michelle to see their cards for today.
Copics used: Ferrets (E49, E44, E43, E42, E41, R20, Colourless Blender), Bees (Y08, Y00, B0000), Ball (B32, B24, YR23, YR24, BV02, BV13)

Oh my! This set!!! Hilarious! And the sentiment – it’s brilliant. My grandmother lived opposite a man who had a ferret. When small we all had to go and see it one day. It ran over to my younger sister and sank its teeth into her knee. Thankfully it didn’t break the skin or we’d have been down at A&E for a tetanus! They really are feisty!
