Hello friends! Today, I am sharing my second teaser for the Clearly Besotted January 2020 release. As I mentioned yesterday, the sets this month have a fun history theme to them and today we are heading off to Egypt and spending a little time with some feline friends.
This set is called Egyptian Feline and it includes a pyramid outline stamp so I began by stamping that down onto my white card panel. I extended the lines at the side a little with a Copic Multiliner as my panel is A2 in size. I then stamped the image again onto some masking paper, which I fussy cut and placed down onto the panel. From top to bottom, I blended Candied Apple, Ripe Persimmon, Wild Honey and Squeezed Lemonade Oxides. After removing the mask, I coloured the sand and pyramids with Copics (numbers below).
I stamped three of the cats and the cushion a couple of times, coloured them and then fussy cut them. I went for deep rich tones with my colouring to match in with the Oxides and Arabic theme and I went around the edges with a black marker just to make sure they look neat and tidy. The sentiment is from Laugh Out Loud Friends and I thought it fit these three little friends perfectly. They look like they are hiding something….or at the very least, a little bit guilty of something!
The cushions and two of the cats were adhered flat to the panel and the middle cat popped up. I adhered the finished panel onto an A2 top folding base card and called it done. I will be back tomorrow with my final teaser, but in the meantime, do hop over to the Clearly Besotted Blog and also to Michelle and Keren to see what they have made. Until tomorrow, happy crafting!
