Hello friends, we haven’t even made it to July for me to share my first Christmas card with you! Heavens above – I’m sitting here with all the doors and windows open, in my open toed sandals and a t-shirt and cropped trousers on. But, Christmas in June it is in my craft room! So be it, and I’ll be grateful later on in the year. We are on the final day of countdown teasers for the July release from Clearly Besotted. Not long until you will be able to shop.
The background panel is a little difficult to see on this card, but I started by creating it using a panel of cardstock, the CB Snow Day stencil and some Nuvo Moonstone Glimmer Paste. After applying the paste with a palette knife, I left it to dry. It really doesn’t take long.
The scene is created with the second set from this Scene It Around series – called Scene It Around II. Again, like the first set, there are two circular images, but this time one is Spring and the other Christmas. You can pair it with the All Four Seasons Hippo set but I thought I would use the scene stamp in isolation today.
I stamped the image and coloured it with Copics. I then created a mask, adhered that down and used Victorian Velvet and Stormy Sky Distress Inks for my sky. Such an unsual combination for me, but I did rather like it. It’s very serene.
I die cut the circle using a HA Circle Infinity die and then trimmed off the little white excess border. The panel was popped up on the snow panel with foam tape and then the whole panel flat onto a base card. The sentiment is from an older set called Feeling Sentimental. I have actually stamped it in grey ink but it still looks almost black.
That brings me to the end of my teasers for this month. I do hope that you have enjoyed seeing them and of course, please do hop over to visit the Clearly Besotted blog, and then onto Michelle and Keren for more inspiration with this month’s sets. I’ll be back tomorrow with a reminder of my cards and links to all the new products. Thank you for joining me this week and happy crafting!

It’s a gorgeous card and I really love the Scene It Around stamp – I definitely think they are a fabulous idea for so many cards and a really simple way to get it effective. I don’t actually own Victorian Velvet I don’t think, but it’s a really nice combination for that hazy wintery look. Go me inspired to start on cards for Christmas!

What a beautiful card, Lisa! The scene is so beautiful, calm and serene and I love the addition of the paste behind it. So pretty! xx
