Welcome back to the countdown teasers for the Clearly Besotted November release. Today’s cuteness comes courtesy of some adorable Christmas Characters and I paired them with a couple of (aka four) older sets to create my snow rolling, maybe imminent snowball fight, scene. I hope the mouse doesn’t get hit by that big snowball – it could be curtains for him and that really wouldn’t be very festive now would it!
My background panel was created with one Distress Ink (Peacock Feathers) and an arm workout that lasted about 15 minutes. It’s amazing the variation you can get with one ink and remembering to leave a lighter area. Once I had inked the panel I spritzed some water over it and picked up the drops with a towel so that it looks a little snowy in the sky. I took the MFT Stitched Snow Drifts die and cut a large snowbank which I then adhered flat onto my inked panel.
Next I stamped the Snowman holding the snowball from Christmas Characters, the mouse from Christmas Corners, the trees from Winter Plushies and a present from Holiday Huskies onto some white cardstock and Copic coloured them (numbers listed below). They were fussy cut out and then added onto the panel either with foam tape or with wet adhesive.
I took a sentiment from Sing It’s Christmas and stamped that onto black cardstock using Versamark Ink. I added some Hero Arts White Detail embossing powder and heat set. It was trimmed to size and then added to the panel with foam tape. I finished the card with some black glaze pen to their eyes, shimmer on the trees and present, scarf and hat and then finally, some Tonic Crystal Glaze onto the snowman’s shnoz.
For more cuteness, don’t forget to hop over to the Clearly Besotted blog, and then onto Michelle and Keren. I will be back tomorrow with my release day post for you – and if I get enough time, another card! Thank you as always for your visit, you are much appreciated.
