Hello and welcome back! It’s Clearly Besotted release day today which means that as of 8pm BST tonight you will be able to purchase the June 2021 sets over at Clearly Besotted and Simon Says Stamp. I have links below to all the new sets and don’t forget you can purchase the entire June 2021 release at a discount. This also includes some free items, so is great value for money.
Before the sets go live, I have one last card to share with you and I have used the adorable new I Pick You set along with some other old and new sets. Clearly Besotted sets mix and match so well, you can really have fun creating cards with all the different options you have. So, without further ado, here is today’s card for you.
I enjoyed making this card so much and it features a new to me stencil called Around About which I used to create my circle scene background. The grass section features two of the different layering options in the set and I used Twisted Citron and Mowed Lawn to create it. The sky section in the stencil fits perfectly alongside the grass section and for my sky I used Tumbled Glass and Mermaid Lagoon Distress Inks. Once I had ink blended the sky, I left the stencil in place and then took the Lots Of Love stencil and laid it over the top, securing it with Frog Tape. I applied Nuvo Moonstone Glimmer Paste through it with a media spatula and left it to dry. I cleaned the spatula and stencil straight away as the paste dries pretty quickly!
Whilst the background panel was drying I took two of the critters from the I Pick You set, stamped them with Copic friendly ink and then coloured them before fussy cutting them out. There is also an accompanying stamp set called I Pick You Additions, but I didn’t use it on my card today.
I fussy cut the sweet critters out and set them to one side. Once the scene panel was dry, I popped it into the MISTI and stamped a greeting from Love Story Sentiments at the bottom. I thought that it fit really well with my critters! I then took the speech bubble from Chitter Chatter and stamped the I Pick You greeting from the new set. For both of my sentiments I used Versafine Onyx Black Ink as it is such a crisp and black black ink!
Both the sentiment and fruit loving critters were popped up with foam tape and the whole panel adhered to a 110lb base card. So that finishes my cards for the release. I do hope that you have enjoyed seeing what the rest of the team and our guests have made this month. Here is a reminder of my other four cards.
Before you head off and make your shopping list, don’t forget to head over to the Clearly Besotted blog, Michelle, Keren plus our guests, Kitty, Alberto (Instagram), Francine and Keeway. Thank you so much for joining us all this week. I will be back with another card for you soon. In the meantime, have a wonderful day, keep safe, and keep crafting!
