Hello there everyone, today marks the start of the Clearly Besotted November 2021 countdown teasers! Excuse me whilst I go and cry in a cupboard somewhere. I’ve not made hardly any Christmas cards and most have to be posted in November, and I have everyone here at Christmas (if we are allowed) and I’ve not even thought about that situation. And I don’t have enough beds! But I’m sure we will manage somewhow. Anyway, enough of that for now haha!

So, onto the card which is why you are all here I suspect. This month’s release features six new sets, all of them are adorable of course! Today’s card features Winter Woodland. This is my favourite set from this month’s release and for some reason I keep wanting to call it Winter Wonderland!
I thought I would do a mini slimline card today. I am loving this new to me size of card and I think it works really well for little scenes. To start off, I took the background image from Winter Woodland and stamped it down onto some white cardstock. I also created a mask for it and I adhered that down over the top before blending Chipped Sapphire, Faded Jeans and Stormy Sky Distress Oxides down from the top. I deliberately faded them out so they didn’t interfere with the snowy area.
Keeping the mask in place, I spritzed the panel with Tim Holtz Distress Spray Stain Picket Fence and also Sheer Shimmer Spray Sparkle. I left it to dry whilst I worked on the rest of the images. I’m not 100% sure why I didn’t remove the mask and spritz the whole thing including the trees and ice after I had coloured them. But that’s what I did and so that’s how it is! Of course you can’t see it very well in the photos, but it is super sparkly in real life.
The background was then coloured with Copic markers. Next, I took the deer, hedgehog and bear and stamped them onto some white cardstock using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. I coloured them with Copics and fussy cut them out. The numbers I have used are listed below if you would like them.
I added some foam tape to the back of the animals for dimension. Whilst I was at it, I took the Merry Christmas sentiment from Tiny Type and stamped that onto black cardstock using Versamark Ink. I added some Hero Arts White Detail Embossing powder and heat set it before trimming it out. I also added a little foam tape to the back.
Then I took the Picket Fence Studios Mini Slim Line Stitched and Scalloped Rectangles die set and die cut the inked panel and also a slightly larger panel of red cardstock. The red panel was added to a 110lb base card using wet adhesive. The ink blended panel was added on top with foam tape. I then added the three animals and the sentiment on top. The card base measures 6.25″ x 3.75″.
To finish the card I added some black glaze pen to their eyes and some Tonic Nuvo Aqua Shimmer to the earphones, hat and necklace! And that finishes today’s countdown teaser. I’ll be back tomorrow with the next teaser for you. In the meantime, happy crafting!

Seriously- I’m right with you- don’t know how I’m going to manage to get it all done-it might require buying some cards (gasp!!).
But your card is wonderful- a clean and crisp and cute scene- and one I’d like to be part of right now!! x

Aww, this is so cute, Lisa! I love the ink blending for the sky. So soft and pretty and I bet is really sparkly in real life! Those characters are so cute and you have coloured them perfectly! What a wonderful scene! xx
