I am popping in today with a quick card that I have made for my dad’s birthday – and as it’s for my dad, I had to keep it “fuss free”, always tricky!
So here is my card for today.
It’s a really simple card to make, but I added lots of gold touches to make it a little bit more special. I started off by die cutting one of the leaves from my Concord & 9th Layering Leaves die set three times, and then heat embossed them with gold embossing powder. I heat embossed twice to give the leaves a little bit of dimension (making sure I let it set in between layers). I did the same with my Lawn Fawn Happy Birthday border die.
I then took a panel of watercolour card and blended Cracked Pistachio distress ink softly onto the middle section. I took the same ink and did a little ink splattering over the panel, concentrating the tiny droplets more towards the inked section. I dug around and found my Heid Swapp Gold Color Shine spray and added some gold splatters on top aswell – I do not use this gold spray enough!
Finally I adhered the three leaves and border onto the panel using Ranger Multi Medium Matte adhesive. I matted the whole panel onto some gold cardstock and then onto the white base.
I hope you like the card and I will be back soon with another project. Have a lovely weekend, and a very Happy New year to you all. Thank you for stopping by!
