Hello friends! How are you all? I hope you are well.
I am back with another project, today featuring a new Stamping Bella stamp that I got a few months back. And it is a birthday card for a crafty friend of mine, who I know loves Stamping Bella.
I have been working on my Copic colouring a lot over the last few months. It was never my “go-to” medium but I have really started to enjoy my markers, and this image is a lot of fun to colour.
This card is all about the colouring. I started by stamping the image using Memento Tuxedo Black (Copic friendly) using my MISTI. As always I do this so that I can double stamp, but I have to say these rubber stamps are just SO fabulous to stamp. I didn’t need to double stamp the image – it was so clean and crisp on the first attempt. At the same time, I also stamped the sentiment. I have learned by past mistakes to do this before I colour as it is often the bit I mess up and it’s a killer if you have painstakingly made the whole card, just to have it ruined by a wonky or mis-stamped sentiment!
I coloured the image using Copic sketch markers, added a liberal dose of Wink of Stella onto the hats and balloons and a few sequins to embellish. I forgot to write my Copic colour numbers down, but any colours work on this image – I used the packaging to help me pick mine.
I then just mounted the panel onto an A2 card base, with a few coordinating strips of card down each side.
That finishes the card for today. I hope that you like the image and give Stamping Bella a try if you haven’t ever tried their stamps before.
Have a wonderful week and I will be back soon with another project.

That’s a great tip about stamping the sentiment before colouring Lisa. I too have stamped many a wonky sentiment.

Hurrah for Stamping Bella, they really do stamp beautifully first time round. It’s perfectly coloured – gosh your folds are really well done. And no card is really complete without Wink of Stella and some glossy accents. So tempting to check that it’s dry when it’s not…… I’m also so amazed that we all chose Stamping Bella, but that none of the images were the same – go us!! Xx
