Hello again friends
I am back with another card for you, this time using the inlaid die-cutting technique – one of my favourite techniques.
I started by stamping the flowers across the panel of Neenah Solar white 80lb cardstock and then coloured them with my Copics (see below for Copic numbers). I then die-cut the word thanks twice from white cardstock and set those to one side.
Next I placed my “thanks” die onto my coloured panel and ran it through the die-cutting machine. It’s always hard to run a die through your coloured panel but it works out well in the end.
I turned the coloured panel over and laid down some strips of double sided adhesive behind the area which had been die cut. I also added some more double sided adhesive around the edges of the panel and secured it to a black base card.
What you now see is your coloured panel with an empty black space and some double sided adhesive on show! I then popped in the two white “thanks” die cuts, using wet adhesive in between the first and second die cut and then finally I adhered the coloured “thanks” onto the top of the stack. So there is a little bit of dimension and the word is almost hidden but not if you look carefully :). I never get tired of that look!
Lastly I stamped the “forever grateful” sentiment from Altenew Wild Hibiscus onto the top right and added a few jewels to finish the card off.
Thank you as always for visiting. I love to hear from you – please always feel free to leave a comment or ask a question. I am always happy to answer any queries you may have. I will see you again soon, in the meantime, happy crafting.
