Hello again friends
I hope you are all well. Today I have a birthday card for you and I wanted to use the Studio Katia Blooming Bunch set again as it is such a lovely stamp to colour. See here for my previous card using this stamp.
The image was heat embossed with white powder onto Tim Holtz Distress Watercolor cardstock (textured side). I then used Daniel Smith Extra Fine Watercolors to colour it in. I recently bought a 64-dot card of sample colours, plus I had a few other small dot cards in my stash, so I just worked from those to create the blue, green and orange/gold blooms. They were created with several layers and I let them dry in between. The stamp has a rather sketchy feel to it, so I did some very loose watercolouring.
To give it a bit of a back drop, I added a very light wash of a light grey around the image.
Once everything was dry, I stamped the greeting from the same stamp set using Versafine Onyx Black Ink. I then die cut the panel with a Simon Says Stamp stitched rectangle and mounted it onto an A2 grey card base, using double sided adhesive tape.
I finished the card with a spattering of sequins, also from Studio Katia.
That finishes the card for today. Thank you so much for visiting, I appreciate your comments and look forward to sharing another project with you again soon. I hope you have a great week!

Oh you do really like those dot sheets don’t you? I can see you getting the full set of Daniel Smith next year….. you know you want them…. all the quinacridone colours…… I just love your loose watercolouring and the colours you’ve chosen are absolutely beautiful – there’s a substance to the colours, they’re bright, but not overly so and I love that. More with the dot sheets!! xxx
