Hello there
I am popping in today with a quick birthday card for you. Well the card is not that quick to make as it has a lot of colouring, but you know what I mean!
I stamped the image in both corners of the panel using Memento Tuxedo black as I knew I wanted to colour with Copics. I started by colouring the two pink flowers and then decided to go for a slightly different alternative for the leaves than a traditional green. And then I felt a little unsure of my final colour. So I picked a blue/green shade in the end which I wasn’t sure about at first, but it grew on me. Don’t you find that sometimes you need to trim a panel down and then add a sentiment, and eventually it comes together?
Once I finished all the colouring (Copic numbers listed below), I die cut the panel with a stitched rectangle and stamped a sentiment using Versafine Onyx Black ink.
Lastly, I adhered a few sequins with a liquid adhesive to give the card a little sparkle. I mounted it onto black cardstock and then onto an A2 base panel.
That finishes my card for today. We can never have too many birthday cards in our stash can we, so I am sure this will be on it’s way to someone soon. I wish you all a great week and I will be back soon with another project.
Copics used: Colourless Blender, RV04, RV06, RV09, B000, BG01, BG05, BG07, BG11, BG15, BG09

Oh I’m so glad you stuck with it! I just LOVE the end result. It’s such a bright and bold colour scheme. The blue-green leaves are very striking and it’s perfect against the pink. I need to get my set of these out and give it a go too!! xx
