Hello friends
I am back today with a card using a background I created a few weeks ago when playing with some new watercolour paper. I recently purchased some Arches Cold Pressed 300 gsm paper, and so far I love it.
The background was created by using four different blues/purples from my Gansai Tambi watercolour palette (the numbers I used are listed below). I created a wash from top to bottom adding several layers and drying in between. To create the card itself, I die cut this watercoloured panel and temporarily adhered the positive of the die onto my A2 card base. I then adhered the negative pieces into the frame (like doing a jigsaw!) Once I completed that, I then removed the positive frame which in turn leaves the adhered pieces all nice and neatly spaced out.
I then die cut some images from the Simon Says Stamp Village set and adhered them onto the panel using wet adhesive. I ran the snow drifts die back through my machine, this time just cutting some white cardstock. I took the bottom two sections from the die cut panel and put them to one side.
I stamped my sentiment from Clearly Besotted using Versafine Onyx black ink onto one of the white die cut sections. And then I popped that and the one below it onto the card using double sided foam tape. So this section of the card has some lovely dimension (as if there are drifts in front of the houses/trees). You can see it better in the picture above.
Lastly I took a red heart die cut and adhered it on with wet adhesive and added a bit of Wink of Stella.
That finishes my card today. I shall be entering this into the current Simon Says Stamp Flick Challenge which is all about die cutting. Thank you as always for visiting, I will be back soon with another project. Happy crafting!

Just LOVE the watercolour background. It’s clever how you fitted the panel. Think this would work really well as a Christmas card too with the white houses against the dark blue. Beautifully done. xx

Your watercolour background is really blended and I love that the die give that effect of wave that “meddled” (not sure it’s the right word) with the different colours of the night sky!
The contrast between the nightsky and the white houses and snowhill is brilliant!
