Hello friends
I was very lucky to be recently sent a die to play with from Simon Says Stamp. It is one of the many beautiful products in their latest release which is called Fluttering By – isn’t that just a gorgeous name to remind us that yes, Spring is really on it’s way! We haven’t seen much sign of it so far but it can’t hide for much longer. The Fluttering By collection releases today.
So, onto the card. I have a masculine card for you today – notoriously difficult for me! But I thought the die would be great for this occasion.
I started by taking an A2 piece of Simon Says Stamp Fog cardstock and applying Fog ink through the Mosaic Stars stencil to give a tone-on-tone look. I then die cut the panel with a stitched rectangle and next the word die, so that I was left with an aperture.
Next I took an A2 Neenah Solar White 110lb base card, laid my stencilled panel over it and drew a pencil line around the edge of the aperture – to mark where I would need my letters to display. I then die cut the word die from white cardstock so I could use the negative piece as my template to adhere the individual letters to the base card.
I took some Neenah Solar White 80lb cardstock, added some Stick It adhesive to it and die cut the sentiment three times. I then adhered each individual letter through my templated cardstock, onto the base card. After the first two layers I removed the template (this is a little tricky and you may need to use a pokey tool to help you keep the letters adhered down as you pull it off!). Finally I just adhered the third layer of letters on top of the others. In between each layer I ran my bone folder over the letters to make sure they were all secure.
Lastly, I popped some foam tape onto the back of the stencilled panel and adhered it onto the base card. The card has some dimension with the panel and also with the three layers of letters.
So that finishes the card, pretty clean and simple and with the neutral colours and not a sequin or any shimmer in sight, I think it definitely says send me to a man please!
Thank you as always for stopping by and I will be back soon with another project for you. I hope you have a great week.

I reckon you are amazing just for die cutting that three times and not losing the little dots from the exclamation mark!! I love the monotone and tone on tone look of this. I lok forward to seeing what you do with the panel you have left – be perfect with some alcohol ink background 🙂 xxx
