Hello again friends
Today I am back with a birthday card for a very dear friend of mine, Michelle. And as she is a lover of purple and florals, I knew that I needed to get both into my card somehow.
So here is my card for today.
I began by stamping the beautiful Hello Lovely stamp from Concord & 9th onto some Tim Holtz Distress Watercolor Cardstock using Versafine Onyx Black ink which is waterproof. I used the MISTI so that I could make sure I got a good clear impression.
Next I spent a very enjoyable 45 minutes or so watercolouring the panel. I absolutely adore this stamp, I don’t know why it took me so long to get it. For someone that doesn’t like to spend ages masking, it is perfect as it means I can enjoy more time on the colouring. I am still working my way through my Daniel Smith Dot watercolour sheets and working out which colours I love the most so that I can purchase those adorable little tubes.
Once I had finished the watercolouring, which I completed in layers, allowing the paint to dry in between, I set about deciding on my sentiment.
I took a sentiment from Clearly Besotted Scrumptious Birthday and white heat embossed that onto black cardstock. Next I die cut the sentiment strip and the watercoloured panel with a Simon Says Stamp stitched rectangle.
I adhered the watercoloured panel with DST onto a top folding A2 Neenah Solar White 110lb base card and then the sentiment strip on top of that. To finish, I added my usual spattering of Studio Katia Majestic Fusion sequins.
So that finishes the card and I really hope that Michelle likes it. Thank you as always for stopping by and keeping me company, I appreciate it. I will be back soon with the countdown teasers for the Clearly Besotted June release. In the meantime, have a great day and an even better weekend!

I am always so happy when I see an email with your latest blog post and see that it’s using this set. You always colour it so beautifully and it just looks so classy. I know that Michelle will love it. Can’t wait to see what colours you get. Hopefully a quinacridone? I ask just so I can write it and say it in my head….. quinacridone….. xx
