Hello friends
It’s Friday! Or maybe even Saturday for you – that’s got to be a good thing right? I have a card to share with you today where I mix a few stamp sets and companies – I always like to do that when I can.
So here is today’s card. I coloured the flowers yesterday after a seriously frustrating day of doing chores that didn’t go well, and I thought I would try and colour to relax… and by and large it worked! A few chocolate biscuits helped more than I should admit!
I’ve not been great at joining in with Kathy Racoosin’s 30 day colouring challenge this month – and when I do colour, I often don’t get around to using what I colour, so today I am feeling virtuous!
The flower and leaves were coloured with Copics (numbers listed below). I used Neenah Solar White 80lb cardstock and stamped the images from Create A Smile stamps using Memento Tuxedo Black. I fussy cut them out which was nice and easy, because they are pretty big and not too much of a problem. Yay!
Next I took a piece of Neenah and ran my Simon Says Stamp Thanks Scallop border die through the Big Shot. I then taped the Circular Lace stencil (LOVE!) onto the base and blended Fog Ink through it, just to give the bottom of the card some extra interest.
Using a ton of foam tape I popped the scallop die panel onto the base and then adhered the flowers and leaves with wet adhesive. The sentiment from the newly released Vacation Time (see it’s not just for holidays!) was white heat embossed onto black cardstock. That was also popped up onto the base.
Lastly I added my usual spattering of sequins and put some sparkle onto the petals.
That finishes my card for today and I am going to enter this into the Simon Says Stamp Flickr challenge – Anything Goes.
I will be back soon with another project for you and in the meantime I wish you all a wonderful weekend!
Copics: Flower – V01, V05, RV17, RV66, RV69, Y00, Y000. Leaves – Y000, YG00, YG03, G17, G28

After the day you had you really did yourself proud with that colouring. Your flower just sings with light – that was very poetic!! And I actually thought the bottom panel was a die cut it looks so intricate with the inking with fog ink. The pop of the black on the sentiment is absolutely perfect to offset the stark of the white. Stunning! Xx
