Hello again friends
Today I am sharing a sympathy card with you. None of us like to make them but make them we have to do sometimes. When I sat down to create a card, I was actually going to make a birthday card but I got a message on my phone as I sat down and so I had to do a quick change.
The Clearly Besotted Perfect Peonies seemed like the perfect floral image for my card. You don’t want too much fuss on a sympathy card and this is such a pretty image that really stands on it’s own, however you colour it.
I decided to go with Copics for the colouring, so the image was stamped onto some Neenah 80lb cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and then coloured with my Copic markers (numbers listed below).
I then die cut the panel with a stitched rectangle die to add a little bit of extra interest. To give some dimension, I put some craft foam behind the panel and popped it onto the base. Next I white heat embossed the sentiment from Tiny Type onto black cardstock. That was added with foam tape also.
I picked a few different size sequins and adhered them with wet glue and that finished the card. I was even able to get it in the post that day so my friend would not have to wait too long to receive it.
Thank you as always for your visit. I will be back soon to share another project with you. Until then I wish you a wonderful week and happy crafting!
Copics: Y11, B000, R81, R83, R85, YG01, YG03, YG17
