Today is the MFT & Friends day and I have a fun summery project for you. For those of you who are not familiar, the monthly MFT & Friends feature takes a fresh look at the new release and shares lots of new inspiration for you from the Design Team and some Friends of MFT too. Here is the link to the main blog post where you can see all the other creations from the team.
For my project today, I decided to create an offset design, I haven’t done this for a little while.
This card came together quite easily once I had decided on the design. I masked off a section on some Neenah cardstock and blended distress inks from top to bottom – love these summery colours (Picked Raspberry, Abandoned Coral, Mustard Seed, Squeezed Lemonade)!
I removed the tape and adhered the frames. The frame die cut is actually part of the Large Rectangle Shaker & Window set, but I didn’t go with a shaker – I just used the frame and die-cut it three times, stacked them up and adhered them with wet adhesive.
I stamped and coloured the super cute dog from Dog-gone Awesome with Copics, cut it out with the coordinating die, added a little black glaze pen to his nose and eyes, and set it to one side. Next I die cut the Miss You sentiment three times, stacked it up and adhered it within the frame. The Miss You die-namic is a freebie this month if you spend more than $60 (whilst stocks last – see MFT for all the details).
The little dog was added with foam tape into the corner. The sentiment was white heat embossed on Black Licorice cardstock and adhered again with foam tape to straddle the frame.
Last but not least, I added 3 sequins from Lucy’s Cards Ice Crystal mix. The whole panel was then mounted onto a top folding A2 base card with foam sheet.
That finishes my card for today. As it is a “Miss You” card and mentions a treat, I thought this would be good to send to someone with a little giftcard or present, just to let them know I am thinking about them.
Thank you as always for stopping by, I will be back soon with another card to share with you. Happy crafting!
