And I have a spooktacular card for you today! So much fun making Halloween cards – it’s just a shame we don’t really celebrate it in the same way in the UK. Nonetheless I love to make them, I think it’s because of the bright colours 🙂
I began by applying Wilted Violet Distress Oxide ink and Black Soot Distress Ink to the top of an A2 top folding Neenah Solar White base card. I think Wilted Violet might be my favourite Distress Oxide colour so far! I made sure to mask off the top of the pre scored card so I don’t get any ink on the back.
I then took the cityscape die from Clearly Besotted Scene It, and ran that through my die cutting machine with some black cardstock. This was then added to the base card with DST and I trimmed off the excess at the bottom.
I took two of the images from Whoo To You, coloured them with Copics and fussy cut them. I also stamped the ghost from Spooky Spirits onto some Neenah cardstock and fussy cut that out too. There will be coordinating dies available for both these sets if you do not wish to fussy cut.
I stamped the greeting from Spooky Spirits using Versamark ink onto some black cardstock, applied white embossing powder and heat set. This was popped onto the card with foam tape.
The images were added onto the base card with foam tape. To add a little bit more interest and sparkle, I added some colourful sequins from my stash and also some sparkle to the wings, hat and broom! Tonic Nuvo Crystal Glaze was added to the eyes on the owls for some fun shine.
That finishes today’s card, quite different for me. I either seem to have loads of white space or hardly any at all haha!
It would be lovely if you could hop over to my super talented teamies, Stephanie, Keren and Michelle and see what they have to tease you with today. I will be back tomorrow with my final teaser card for you.
