Today marks the third countdown teaser for the October release from Clearly Besotted. All sets will be released on 1st October at 8pm BST at Clearly Besotted and Simon Says Stamp. Not long to wait, but we have a few more teasers for you before then!
Today my card features one of the new mini sets called Merry Christmoose. It’s another adorable set and I couldn’t wait to ink it up!
I began by creating my background by ink blending Chipped Sapphire Distress Ink at the top of my base card. I then added Blueprink Sketch, Wilted Violet and Twisted Citron Distress Oxides to create a kind of Northern Lights wintery backdrop. I took the Tim Holtz Distress Sprayer and added some white splatters, dabbing them off with a paper towel. White gouache was flicked onto the panel with a round brush to create some extra interest and brighter white spots.
I die cut a white panel with the Scene It dies and then popped that into my MISTI and stamped the trees from Scene It onto the die cut – I find it easier to line it up this way around. The moose and the trailer were then stamped towards the bottom and the sentiment from the set to the left. The scene was coloured with Copics (numbers listed below).
The tree/moose panel was popped onto the base card with double sided foam tape for some dimension. All that remained was for me to add the finishing touches – no card is complete without a little sparkle! So I added some shimmer to the trees and the Christmas lights. Tonic Nuvo glaze was added onto the lights after the shimnmer.
That finishes today’s card. It would be lovely if you could pop over to see what Stephanie, Michelle and Keren have made today. I’m heading there now and I am already excited to see what they have created.
Thank you so much as always for your visit. I hope you are enjoying the teasers. I will be back tomorrow with another one for you. Happy crafting!
