Popping in quickly to share another Christmas card with you. I made this card on a bit of a whim today as I thought I would enter it into a few challenges.
I’ve been wanting to pull out the Simon Says Stamp Winter Scene stamp again after receiving it a few months ago, and thought I would use it again today.
I began by stencilling white paste through the SSS Falling Snow stencil onto some Fog cardstock and set it aside to dry. Next I stamped the scene background onto Neenah cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and then blended Cracked Pistachio Distress Ink and Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide ink onto it, to create a soft and pretty background.
My images were also stamped onto Neenah Solar White and coloured with Copics and then fussy cut.
The stencilled panel was matted onto an A2 base card with DST, and the background panel on top of that. I then adhered the images using a wet adhesive.
Lastly I stamped the two sentiments onto red cardstock, applied white embossing powder and heat set them. These were trimmed to size and adhered with wet glue or foam tape.
I really love this set – it will come out time and time again I’m sure. You can create such pretty scenes with it.
Entering this into the current Flickr Challenge “Let your Stencils Shine” and also into the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge “Anything Goes”.
