A very quick post for you today. And a very CAS card to share. I coloured this image a few days ago whilst taking part in the 30-Day Colouring Challenge hosted by Kathy Racoosin.
I have to say, I do love the process of colouring, particularly floral images and for this card I tried a different colour combination, at least different for me.
If you have been a blog reader of mine you will have seen this image a few times – I can’t help but love it! It is Perfect Peonies from Clearly Besotted and it just looks so stunning on a card, it really needs nothing else but to be coloured. And you can whip this card up in about 30-45 minutes, so it’s a great option to have in your stash for last minute cards.
As always with Copics, the image was stamped onto Neenah 80lb with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. The numbers I used are listed below and I hope I remember to use them again. I know there are no blue peonies in real life but in our cardmaking world we can make flowers any colour we want. And I really liked the sage green leaves with it too.
I used my Hero Arts Rectangle Infinity dies to emboss a double frame around the outside and then adhered the panel to a top folding Fog card base. I adore Fog cardstock – it is such a beautiful grey and I thought that it would go well with the colours I had used.
My sentiment from the newly released Happy Birthday All was stamped with Versafine Onyx Black ink onto a skinny strip of Fog, and then popped up on the card base with foam tape.
Lastly, I added a few sequins to give a little bit of sparkle.
Have a wonderful weekend everyone. Thank you for your visit as always, you are so appreciated. I’m off to do a bit of colouring now, the ironing can wait.
Copics used: Leaves (G21, G94), Flower (B00, BG53, BG05, BG09, YG01)
