I have a couple of cards for you today using a set that I was sent recently by Picket Fence Studios.
Both cards are made with the Cup Cake Love set. My first card was made by die-cutting a background from some SSS Doll Pink cardstock using a cover plate from Lil’Inker Designs. The cupcakes were stamped, fussy cut and coloured with Copics and then foam tape was added to the back of them. I white heat embossed the big bold sentiment onto some black cardstock and adhered that with wet adhesive so I could move it around and make sure it was centred. The cupcakes were then popped up with foam tape and a healthy dose of sparkle added to the frostings.
For my second card I decided to do a little ink smooshing which I haven’t done for quite some time.
I smooshed some Wilted Violet Distress Ink onto some Tim Holtz Watercolour Cardstock using an acetate sheet and then I added lots of splatters of Perfect Pearls over the top and left it to dry. This was then die-cut with WPlus9 Sunshine Layers, mounted onto SSS Doll Pink cardstock and then onto a white base card. The cupcakes were stamped and fussy cut and foam tape popped onto the back. I left them in black and white as there is colour going on in the background and it gives a bit of a different feel to the card. I heat embossed a sentiment from Picket Fence Studio’s Kylee Boo set, added a trim of silver glitter cardstock and then adhered that to the base panel with DST.
The cupcakes were popped up and again, some shimmer was added so they have some sparkle.
That finishes today’s projects. I wish you all a very happy weekend, hope you get some crafting in. Thank you so much for popping by.
