It’s day three of the countdown teasers for Clearly Besotted and today I have a pretty snow scene card for you. One of the stamps I was most excited about in this new release was the Picture It Christmas stamp and I couldn’t wait to ink it up! And you don’t need to add anything else to it, it can stand on it’s own to create a beautiful snow scene. But I chose to add a little something else…..
This stamp is wonderful as it does all the work for you, no masking at all. So I stamped it onto some Neenah 80lb and coloured it with Copics. At the same time I stamped a little hippo from the Hippo Christmas set from a few months ago and coloured that in. The greeting from the new Cheerful Calligraphy was added with Versafine Onyx Black ink.
I trimmed a small border around the top of the masked scene, added some DST to the back and adhered it to a base card which had been matted with plain navy cardstock. I love the block of colour at the top, I think it really makes the snow pop.
To embellish the card I added lots of sparkle onto different elements of the card – the hat and sack, the chalet roofs and the trees. I added some Tonic Nuvo glaze to the baubles on the tree. I wish you could see the sparkle and shine – it’s so pretty in real life!
That finishes today’s card for you – it really didn’t take long to do, and it’s almost a one layer, so great for postage. Please hop over to see what all the other ladies have designed for you today – Stephanie, Michelle and Keren.
