Today I am back with a card for you featuring another of the sweet sets I was sent recently by Picket Fence Studios.
It is called So Proud Of You and naturally is about congratulations and encouragement. And this little fairy reminds me a bit of Britney Spears in “Oops I did it again” – remember those pigtails? She’s missing the knee length socks, but there is a slight resemblance!
So I started by stamping her onto some Neenah cardstock and then colouring her with Copics. I created some faux dimension by adding some grey around her so she appears to sit a little bit forward on the card, difficult to see in the photo though. And I also added some blue around the edges beyond the grey, again to “highlight” her a little bit more.
The panel was trimmed with an MFT Stitched Basic Edge die and then mounted onto a side folding base card. I added some green cardstock onto the base panel and a small strip of black and white paper to the left hand side, just to give a bit of extra interest.
The sentiment was white heat embossed and added to the panel with foam squares. And finally a few sparkly sequins for embellishment.
That finishes my card for today. I hope everyone is managing to grab a little peace here and there. It’s raining in the UK – damp, dark and horrible. And we have a leaking roof to contend with. Wonderful! I will be back soon with another project, have a great weekend one and all.
